Established in 1998, we offer a personal and professional service covering all aspects of domestic and commercial architecture, from small extensions to large scale new builds and small commercial projects.

We have a broad client base with a high percentage of business gained on recommendation. Our clients are typically homeowners looking to extend their home or private developers who require plans preparing for new build housing, extensions, loft conversions or small commercial developments.

We work with our clients to prepare plans and designs to suit their requirements and then submit these to the Local Authority for approval. We have vast experience of planning procedures and are familiar with the processes of many Local Authorities resulting in a smoother planning application.

Sandy has worked within architecture since 1991 and, as Director of DJS Architectural Services Ltd, has been providing architectural services to numerous clients throughout the region since 1998.

Sandy will personally deal with your project from inception through to the completion of approvals with the support of Justine, who manages the administration side of each project. This ensures you receive a personal and professional service throughout the process.

Sandy prides himself on building strong and lasting customer relationships, and you can rest assured you will receive the attentiveness your project deserves at all times. He endeavours to keep you up-to-date at every stage of the project, ensuring you are aware of the next steps.

Very happy with the service from DJS. We found Sandy to be very efficient and reliable to work with. He was upfront about his service and fees. He was very patient and clear at communicating the various options available to us e.g. in terms of materials, amendments to the designs. Having no experience of building previously, Sandy helped us to feel informed about the construction process in general and was happy to give an opinion on particular points when we asked. Above all, at every stage of the project he let us know when he would complete a task and he stuck to his deadlines - very appreciated.

From the moment we met Sandy we were impressed with his approach, attention to detail and his vast experience and knowledge. From our initial consultation he listened and offered ideas for our project and worked with us to design something both practical and aesthetically pleasing. He produced the design and building control drawings, applied for planning, liaised with the planners, building control, our builder and even the structural engineer all whilst keeping us in the loop with regular communications. His pricing was up front and fair and his drawings are extremely detailed, something the builder mentioned is way above the usual plans they receive. We found Sandy via google reviews so it only feels right we leave a review now everything is finalised. As two people with no knowledge of what's needed for an extension Sandy was exactly the person we needed to help us. His expertise and experience was clear to see and proved invaluable as we navigated what felt like an endless list of problems with our stuctural engineers. Sandy not only identified issues that would have delayed the build but suggested solutions which the stuctural engineers then agreed were the best option. Our planning permission application went through without any issues and we were kept up-to-date with the progress and the planning team were chased for updates once the deadline passed without any prompt from us. Our initial meeting was highly informative and his fees were clear and easy to understand from the initial engagament. We therefore highly recommend Sandy to anyone looking for architectural services.
